In December 2023, a framework agreement on cotutelle was concluded between Charles University and the French School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences (École des hautes études en sciences sociales).
The partner institutions have decided to establish an institutional framework for bilateral cooperation in the field of doctoral studies under joint supervision of dissertations (cotutelle). The aim is to further develop doctoral studies and research and to support the mobility of students within cotutelle.
The framework agreement also includes a bilateral template that both institutions will use when concluding individual cotutelle agreements. The entire process of preparing and concluding individual agreements is expected to be significantly simplified administratively.
