Each year, the Barrande Scholarship Programme offers scholarships to PhD students studying at Czech and French universities in the "cotutelle" scheme.
Scholarships are awarded to PhD students studying in cotutelle scheme for each research stay abroad. Each year, the scholarship holder completes a five-month study abroad stay of a maximum of three years (a total of 15 months over three years). Stays abroad should start on 1 October or 1 November.
A student will receive a scholarship under the Barrande programme of 1 690 euros per month during their stay in the France and 35,000 CZK per month during their stay in the Czech Republic.
The application process is currently underway. You can apply until 26 January 2025. More detailed information, including future deadlines, can be found on the websites of the French Institute in Prague, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research.
